The UPhil Easy DS-101 is a next-generation USB-to-DS-101 adapter designed for plug-and-play use with Windows 10 and 11. No special drivers or software are required — the operating system automatically creates a COM port for your application to use.
Building on the proven design of the original Easy DS-101, this new revision adds a ruggedized enclosure, USB-C connector, and a UID sticker for inventory management, making it suitable for both field and lab environments.

The Easy DS-101 is an easy-to-install USB to DS-101 COM port adapter for Windows 10 and 11. Simply plug it in and the device is ready to use — no drivers required. Once connected, the adapter enumerates as a COM port, allowing you to run your own DS-101 application or use one of the downloadable applications we provide.
Replacing legacy RS-232 connections, the Easy DS-101 delivers up to 6× faster transfer speeds compared to the standard 9600 baud RS-232 rate, improving efficiency in key fill and data transfer operations. It works with ACES, DMD Power-Station, iApp, and Tier 3 devices including SKL, TKL, and RASKL®.
The API is compatible with both the fully featured UPhil product and the Easy DS-101 subset. The adapter actively zeroizes after each transfer to protect sensitive information.
Currently supported on Windows 10 and 11. Custom cable options are available. A Certificate of Volatility can be provided upon request.
This product is controlled for export under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). A license from the U.S. Department of State is required prior to the export of this product from the United States. Section ITAR 121.1.XIII.5.
