The WebSec Tempest Test Unit (TTU) is a compact, battery-powered platform engineered for TEMPEST evaluation of High Assurance (Type 1) cryptographic devices.
Widely used by leading End Cryptographic Unit (ECU) manufacturers, the TTU enables precise validation of signal emissions and shielding performance to meet evolving TEMPEST compliance requirements.
A dedicated Windows 11 .NET application provides an intuitive interface for configuring test parameters prior to operation. Users can load custom data patterns, adjust transmission rates, and select operational modes before deploying the TTU for testing. Once configured, the unit operates fully autonomously on battery power, allowing in-chamber operation without external connections.
A BNC trigger output provides a real-time indication of active data transmission for accurate synchronization with external measurement equipment.
The new TTU Version 2 (V2) further enhances capability by integrating DS-101, RS-232, and DS-102 interfaces through the fill-port connector, offering seamless compatibility with both modern and legacy cryptographic systems.
